wheel spacers or adapters
Hello everyone!
I bought a 914 which had 14" rims on it. I also noticed that the hubs had 4 studs and there were nuts to hold the rim to the hub. When I removed the wheel, I realized it was an 1" thick adapter that was bolting on the hub with the VW bolt pattern converting it to a 4 stud/Honda bolt pattern. Are these common? Are they called wheel adapters or spacers? What are they worth? I have returned to the 15" wheels with the VW bolt pattern. Thanks Steph

I saw a thread on this on the other board recently and I recall seeing a picture of the adapter but I didn't bookmark the thread. I would think that Dave D would know.

if the adapter is a 4x100 bolt pattern and good quality, they should be worth about $50 to $100 or so for the set of 4....VW Bug guys might give you more since they are more apt to use them.....
you can buy them brand new for about $60 each, but there is not a huge market for them....I do know one person that is/was looking for a set...
