Still leaks-Do I need a washer?
I had a leak at the oil pressure switch. Old setup had a 6" screwed in pipe with the switch on top.
Bought a new switch and installed it like the factory, only it leaks a little bit of oil. I can't tell from the manual or the catalogs if I need a metal or rubber washer between the block and the switch. Everyone says don't overtighten. Help. Thanks |

No washer--pipe threads are tapered and should seal without needing a washer. Is the leak between the switch and the case? Sometimes the switches themselves leak--and other leaks in the area (e.g., distributor O-ring) can look like a sender leak.
