HELP!!!HELP Starter
Problem with getting 1973 2.0 starter to work. I have check ground points at the battery, installed new ground strap, installed new ignition switch and cylinder, ground point behind the heater/blower and ground point beneath the dash. The new ignition switch has a plastic piece when viewed from the top. The old switch did not have this piece. The starter has been remanufactured. Short the battery wire at the starter to the yellow wire and the starter will start the car.
Thanks in advance for your help. ------------------ LW |

I had similar problems-ended up doing what youve done. Turned out the rebuilt Bosch starter had flat spots! After all that screwing around, decided to go with a new Hi-torque starter. If you go that route, you may have to undo and turn the mounting flange b/c its designed to fit a few different cars. If you do this, add lock washers to flange screws so it doesnt shake loose like mine did! good luck
