Got Insurance??
I need to get insurance on my 914. Interestingly enough, when I registred the car last May they didn't ask for proof of insturance (CA). Since it's in a million pieces in my garage right now getting prepared for painting, I wasn't in a hurry to insure it. However, I just recieved the DMV renewal and they are asking for "proof of insurance" now to renew.
I plan on using it as a Sunday driver. Does anyone have any recomendations on a company and a smart way to insure these cars? Much appreciated,

Common loophole in California. You can BUY a car and transfer it, no insurance required.......own one and RE-register it and you have to prove you have a policy....
RANT ON>>>>>>>>>>>>> THIS IS TOTAL BULL*****......NORMAL PEOPLE HAVE TO HAVE INSURANCE AND HAVE TO PAY FOR UNINSURED COVERAGE IN STATE THAT HAS MANDATORY INSURANCE...... Fuchinlosers that can't afford it should walk or take the bus.
