Lug bolts

I need some new lug bolts for my car, mine are ratty and mismatched, but the prices for new ones are ridiculous. Does anybody know of a cheaper solution. I need the longer ones for the alloys. Any help would be appreciated.

thanks
peter

Hi There -
I am doing a 5 bolt conversion and will have a complete set of long factory lugs that I may not need to hang on to. I will drop you a line when I am finished (week or two) and let you know.

There is an Audi application that uses lug bolts that are almost identical to the long alloy-wheel lug bolts on the 914. The only difference I noticed was that the bolt heads used a 17mm socket instead of a 19mm one. I think they may have been from an Audi 5000, but I could easily be wrong on that.

They were a whole lot cheaper when I bought them about seven years ago.

Thanks Dave I am going to check them out today. The great thing about 914 owners is that they freely share ideas and knowlage with any who ask. This is a ture spirt of comradery which is seldom seen today. I want to express my gratitude to all who post their insigth and wisdom to keep these old cars on the road. Steve Stromberg
