the exshaust tubes look like they will fit but the air part is way short ( about 1 foot ) meaning the flapper box and the air inlet are too far back .... am i just missing a part or two and if i am does any body have any for sale

Scott, there is a extension tube that goes from the HE to the flapper box. It's about 1 foot long. I found mine on a car in the junk yard when I switched over the SS HE. Also you probably need the vertical tubes too that go to the heater blower hoses.

Scott, look at the diagram at
http://www.pelicanparts.com/914/parts/engine/exhaust_system_small.htm and the part is number 13. That is the tube you are looking for.

The difference is that the SS exchangers are the early style exhaust, and your 75 exhaust is the late style one.

Doe the exchangers have a "kick up" near the end, or are they flat all the way back to the muffler flange? If they are flat, you have 2.0 exchangers. You'll need a 2.0 muffler.. If they kick up, you have a 1.7/1.8 set, and you'll need a 1.7 or 1.8 muffler.

I don't know if the 75-76 muffler hanger will work with the early style 2.0 exhaust, or with the early-style 1.7/1.8 exhaust, or with neither one. You may or may not need to buy a muffler hanger. Give yours a try, bolt up the exchangers and then hang the muffler hanger on the tranny. See if the holes/notches in the bottom of the hanger line up with the holes in the muffler flange. If not, you'll have to buy a new hanger.
