914 roll bar trim removal
 

I am trying to remove the long chrome trim piece on the back of the rollbar (the piece that is the width of the rollbar and about 1/2" tall). What is holding it on?

The strip is held in place by clips that are probably quite rusted. Very carefully work one end of the strip outward with a screwdriver and once you get it past the rollbar upright, you can slide the bar off the rollbar. I believe that is what I did 5 months ago. This is one of those cases where you can use gentle force if I remember right.

That worked! I sprayed a little lube in there too and that helped too. There were three clips. I needed to give it a bit more of a tug than what I thought was necessary.
