Moving Brake Pedal to Left??
I am installing the center console from one of the 914Club vendors and the room between the console and brake pedal is barely the width of my shoe? What I am considering is bending the brake pedal linkage an inch or so to the left to provide more space for my foot on the accelerator? Anybody done this before? Looking at the brake linkage, it looks pretty beefy and will most likely require heat.
Any ideas or suggestions? Is my issue unique?

some consoles have the side near the gas pedal angled away(inward) and some don't. if you bend the brake pedal, will you put the brakes on everytime you depress the clutch pedal?

My console does have the angled section near the pedals, perhaps not enough? I have a ton of room bewteen the clutch and the brake - looks like more than I have bewteen the brake and the console?

i've never driven a car with a console without having to take my right shoe off. you might be able to remove the spacer at the firewall end (if it has one) and pinch the angled side further in.
