If you're tired of the BS from the other places, you can always hang out here. Not as active, I know--but the simple solution to that is for more people to show up. Or to post.

That's exactly what I'm doing. Over the last few months, I've been posting to 914club because there was more traffic, but this recent situation makes me wary - I don't want to lose my posts and discussions. I'm posting here exclusively, from now on.

Glad to hear that, Brad! I have decided not to sign up on either of the "successor" BBSes, because I do not like the way that either side has handled the situation. And I most especially dislike the way that people have chosen sides and the way that some of them are acting once they have.

I have, however, been lurking to see if anyone can pull their heads out of the mud. There been at least a few signs of that... But even if there is a Grand Reconciliation, there is a level of trust that used to exist on the board that is now gone.

We may not be "vendor-neutral" here, but we are consistent and dedicated.

hmmm, maybe hanging out here more is the best idea.

I'm bored with the drama, its keeping me away from my computer altogether. Maybe that's a good thing...

Dave,
I respect your comments, but I hope you understand that the CLUBNARP site was not created to become a successor to any previous site. We were created for entirely different purposes altogether. (mostly to escape the drama) We have, however, provided a place for some of the former 914club people to gather (in their own separate forum). Most of the drama over there is confined to "their" forum, and the other forums are just fun to hang out in. I debated whether or not to create such a forum for them, b/c of the controversy that would follow, but out of respect for Andy, I did. I won't post a link here, but I hope you can have some fun with us. I know you are friends with both sides of the dispute, but I will have you know that we are like Switzerland

Yeah, Trojan. I now realize that I was wrong to label the clubNARP site as a "successor site". However, the impression is there, at least in part because the .info URL points to clubNARP.

Still seems too partisan for me, at least at the moment. I've got enough on my plate with this BBS and the others I frequent--and if you were to ask my boss, he'd say that I'm doing too much of that already!!

I'm back....as some of you may know....Bradhole banned me on 914.con.....I was posting about his conviction in the case of the stolen 914/6 prototype.

Prior to that I ran afoul of the sensitive skin of a weaselweenie in Florida that posts under the name of CARR914 and signs off with "TC".......

So....as a former World admin, I kept the secret back door password when I voluntarilly turned off my priveleges..... I could have kept quiet it and used it to do evil, but I chose to login in as CARR914 and delete his stupid ass signature line.

It was from a stupid movie and a quote from a crappy actor.....it flat out offended me but the major point was I hate TC.

I admitted to the dastardly deed in a thread and it took the dim bulb rocket scientists over two weeks to figure out that I needed a 30 day "time out".....what a crock of ****....

I think I'll go over and dig up from the dead the old "Exiled" threads on the Bird Board........

An asshat and proud of it....

Mike

Please seek help. I really don't want to see a thread titled "MikeZ R.I.P.".

BTW, I've never shot anything.

There's nothing like a good website to make a few enemies that you think you know.
I've made a few.....I think.
