Are KYB shocks okay to use for a daily driver? OR are they really junk.
Thanks |

Harsh ride and wears out too fast...spring for the extra bucks and get Bilsteins or Konis.

Bilsteins are "da bomb"
Last virtually forever (i.e. 25 years or so), great control. My new Bilstein Sports go on the car tuesday. If you shop around you can get all four for $500-ish -- pricey, no doubt, but it is an absolutely crucial component of your suspension. |

I have KYBs on my '74 and I have to concur with above post. I find them to be a bit harsh though I can't say anything about their durability.
My '72 has Bilstein Sports. Much nicer ride and on the plus side, they have adjustable spring perches. Even with stock springs you may be able to lower the car to get that much coveted 'baaadass' aggressive stance. I have 140# springs and had lowered the car too much and was banging the motor mount on parking lot speed bumps. Easy to adjust it up a 1/2 inch and my problem's gone! motor On! ------------------ Herb '72 1.7 Tangerine 'Teen '74 2.0 Red Rustmobile |
