Post throttle cable installation??

How do I install this new throttle cable that I got from PP? I attached a thin piece of wire to the old one as I pulled it out so that I'd have something with which to pull the new one through. I shoved the threaded-accellerator-end of the cable through the tube under the car, but I can't get it to pull through- even with the wire attached and pulling from the accellerator end. What is the recommended procedure?

Thanks as always.

I cut the old cable and pulled it out. I then threaded the new one in the tube under the car and had no problems with it.
It may be possible that you dont have enough room for both of the cables in the tube.

Hope this helps.

Enrique, I just put one in myself and found that the end of the old cable was still attached to the output pipe in the engine bay. The inside diameter was too small for the threaded end to push through. You might want to check for that.

Enrique, I also had part of my old cable still in the tunnel, you can tell by looking
at where the cable enters the firewall. if there is a silver bell like thing sticking out that is the old cable. pull that out and wahla! the cable will go through like butter.
