Hello,
I have wires crossed somewhere in the dash but can't figure it out because the wire colors don't match those of the diagrams. When I go to start the engine, there isn't enough power. I checked the battery and it is good. I hook up a jump start pack and it gives enough power to start. When I go to drive, I hear the sparks of a short coming from the gauges. I previously blew a fuse and replaced it with a higher fuse thinking that it was the problem. It is not. I have something crossed and have no idea what it is. Which wires could be shorting out the starting system? I cleaned the wires that hook up to the battery and all wires are in pretty decent shape, except for the fact that the colors don't match that of the diagram. Also, the RPM gauge doesn't work. Any help will be appreciated.

Probably grounding out somewhere. You will likely need to run down these wires and check the insulation. Does the tach(RPM gauge) work at all? Electrical stuff can be a lot of trouble. The gauges just sort of slide into the holes in the dash, you probably should disconnect the battery, pull out the gauges and look at the back of them, maybe post some pictures if you are able. Lot of good resources on the internet.
You will have to be methodical to solve it. Which fuse did you burn out? This is going to be a clue to the problem. You should never replace fuse with higher rated one. They are there to protect expensive electrical parts
