I'll keep it short.
Will 205/45 15 tires on 7 x 15 wheels fit under my stock 914 body? My mechanic thinks I would get away with just folding up the edge of the rear fenders My goal is to make my car more trackable with real race tires. These Hoosier's need the 7" wheels. Thanks Martin |

Depends on the exact wheels (offset, etc.), the exact tires (how wide they really are, as not all 205s are the same actual width), and the exact car.
If it fits, it will be just barely. --DD ------------------ Pelican Parts 914 Tech Support A few pics of my car: http://www.pelicanparts.com/gallery/Dave_Darling |

There is a good chance they will rub on the outside in the rear and on the inside front when turning. I use 7 inch wide wheels on the race car and they needed really stretched fenfers in the rear but were fine in the front. It will be a trial and error thing so just take your time and they will look great when done. When you get them mounted, really puch the car side to side to see what will happen. You should be able to get 205's on 6 inch wide rims as we have them on th auto-x car. Good luck.

7" Revolution wheels fit perfect without rolling the fenders with 205 50 15 Kumhos on my 914. I am running 1.5 deg. neg. camber also

Thanks for the feedback guys!
Hey Doug which style of wheel are you using? I was trying to look at a web site selling Revolution wheels but I wasn't sure which wheel would work. I was also thinking of switching to the Kumhos so it is good to hear that I may not have to do any body work. Martin |
