Where is the Flashback Valve ?
 

I am slowly getting my '72 914 back in order and I am learning quite a few things that I'll never forget.

The Haynes 914 4 Cylinder Manual page 40 shows a diagram of the hose routing. Item #12 shows a flashback valve that appears to be a 'T' connector at the end of a hose coming off of the top of the air breather and this 'T' hooks up to 13mm vacuum hoses that connect to the Cylinder Heads (one on each side) of the engine.

Question: Is this a plastic 'T' connector or is the FLASHBACK VALVE actually attached to the impeller housing on the fan cooling unit?

Since Pelican Parts lists it as NLA they don't show a photo of it.

Another Question: Why doesn't PP just leave the picture there so that it would help users identify the part that they can't get? At least I'd know what I was looking for.

The Haynes Manual is a great place to start, but there's gotta be more out there. Any suggestions?

Driving a 73 2.0 autocrosser

Working on whether or not to put a 350 SBC in my 72. I could just rebuild the old 4 banger autcross motor but i'm not looking for performance.

More of a "holy crap whats in that car!!??"

Oh ya, I got 97 Grand Caravan. Its real cool!? Loaded with a decent 3.8L makes traveling with the family more tolerable.
