heater question; need diagram

Can anybody please point me in the direction of a diagram of the heater system, or a good picture of the underside of a 914? I have all the pieces, but can't seem to figure out how to put it together. thanks in advance.

thanks shawn, that helped me put the puzzle together a little bit. Anybody else? I need to figure out how the "flappers" and stuff all hook up and mount.

I haven't seen a good internet picture of the heating system for a long time. On our 1974 the parts are arranged as follows from the fan at the top to the firewall connection: fan -> flex hose -> top of headers/heater box -> front of header/heater box -> 'S' tube -> flapper box -> reenforced flex hose -> firewall connection. Some helpful hints, the header/heater box is inboard of the hose connection on the fire wall so one side of the flaper point aft the other forward and outward. Next, the wire to operate the flapper pulls toward the firewall as you pull the lever up, so look at the flapper lever and it should be on the bottom and if moved towards the firewall it opens. Next, all screw connections are on the bottom of the tubes and they only go on one side, they will not exchange sides. Try laying out the parts and assembling them alongside the car and then hold them up to where they go and you can see what will and will not fit. Hopefully you have the correct parts and not two sets for one side? Good luck.
