brake upgrade

Hi All,
I can get the rear brake set up of an 75 Carrera with the alloy suspension arms.
Question, can I make that set up work on my 74 914 to have the better brakes and handbrake unit ?

You can get them to bolt up. IIRC, you'll need some shims to center the caliper over the rotor. (Or I might have it backwards; you might need to trim a little off the mounting pads.) You'll need the vented rotor from the 911.

You will need to get a little creative to mount the 911 parking brake mechanism onto the 914 arm, and yet a little more to run the cable. Do a search on here for member "wilco"; he posted pics of when he did this sort of swap.

Then again, the rear brakes don't do that much work. It's not generally worth the bother of swapping, unless you are experiencing overheating problems on the rears at the track, or just have to have the full 911 brakes...
