Is this deal too good to pass up?

Hello all, I came across this 914 for a really good price (I think). LMK what you think.

Would I be stupid to pass this car up for $2000? It is a 1971 with a '73 2.0l in it and Weber carbs. Car was repainted (looks good) a few years ago. Only thing I saw that was noteable is the driver door is dented, it comes with another perfect door shell already paint matched though, also the e-brake cables need replaced. Runs/idles extremely well, shifts nice. Should I take it? Thanks in advance.

I agree with Trekkor, buy it now. It's probably worth that much with no engine or tranny if it's not rusty in the longs.

Alright, I'm going for it. Seems like a deal to me. Don't know how the wife will feel about 2 Porsches in 2 weeks but I'll find out. Hard to pass up.

Look out under the rocker panels, around the jack points, and on the right-rear suspension mounting points for serious rust. Hopefully there isn't anything serious; there is always rust there...

If nothing serious, pick it up and then figure out what it really is.

I agree. The rust issue looks to be very minor given the cars age. It looks like the PO tried to fix the issue with some under coat on the floor pans. In any case, you could tune it up, detail it and sell it for double the price you paid. Eric
