Head stud nuts stuck - how to remove?

Pulled both heads on my 1.7, on one the head studs came out with the nut, and no way will it come loose. I have soaked in PB blaster for over a day ( head upside down and nut/stud in a jar of PB).
What is the prefered way to get the *** nut off?
Heat? Cut the nut off part way with a dremel and split? or what?
Any advice appreciated...
TIA

Heat is a very good thing to try. You'll need to set up the stud in a soft-jawed vise to keep it from turning, of course. Some tapping on the nut can help penetrating oil soak in, but heat is probably the way to go.

Heat was good, thanks Dave.
