1.7-2.0 Exhaust Compatability???
What does it take to put the new muffler with 4 tail pipes that I bought when I thought that I was going to be running a 1.7, on a 2.0? Welding is no problem, and I have a muffler from a 2.0 with good flanges. Are the pipes the same length and in the same location where they join the muffler?

The pipes are a different distance apart from the 1.7 to the 2.0; the 1.7 ones are also further up off the ground than the 2.0 ones. So to use that 1.7 muffler, you need 1.7 heat exchangers.
Unless the 2.0 you're talking about has the 75-76 exhaust on it, in which case you have to swap the whole exhaust and heater setup to use a 1.7 muffler on it. --DD

So Dave, are you telling me that my 1.7 header/heat exchangers will work on my 2.0 engine?

Leon, they will fit. I've run a set of 1.7 SS exchangers on a 2.0.
