Need to Re-Wrap 914-6 Harness
 

I need to re-wrap portions of an original 914-6 wiring harness. I am having a difficult time finding the factory style cloth tape Porsche used to wrap it's harnesses. It is (roughly) 3/8" wide.

Does anyone know where to find this type of wrapping tape? I found 3/4" denim tape at YnZ's. They suggest just tearing the 3/4" tape in half to use. Doesn't sound all that factory...

Tennis Racquet Gauze Tape used to put over the existing grip is very close to what you are looking for. It comes in a couple of colors including black. It may be a little wider than you need but you should be able to cut it ti the width you want. Try a ACE hardware store the have black friction tape which can be cut down to 3/8 ". I think this is the closest you will find.
