Dual Weber 34 ICT Carburetor...is this fine for a 1.8
I have been following Kenny's thread on his carb conversion and needed to ask hopefully a simple question. For my 1974 1.8, are the dual weber 34 ICT fine to use for my car.
I'm not looking to change the cam or get more hp, just weekend driving while my FI system is being gone through. Please, I know all about the FI prefrence, but I will not have mine fixed for some time and want to carb the car in the next week. I saw the 40's listed but they suggested those for the 2.0, and the 34's for my 1.8 Thanks for any input. PS.....I noticed the same setup for the 34's differing in price over $130, with the higher price site suggesting the lower price may not really be weber's, how can you tell? |

I posted too soon.......just did a search and found numerous post, sorry.
If my research is correct the 40's are the best choice. I am still confused however why they don't list the 1.8 for this set-up.....any idea. If someone could confirm this set-up please let me know, here's the link. Genuine Weber Dual 40IDF Carburetor Kit Porsche-VW -WK288 | Weber Carbs Direct |
