Question wheels

ok, does anyone out there know if a wheel with a +42mm offset will have any clearance problems? the rim size is 16x7, I've seen 914's that have 16x7 phonedials with the fenders slightly rolled, you know the "baseball bat" method, but I think the phonedials only have a +23mm offset. any advice?

thanks for your time.

I believe the 16x7 phone dials from a 944 turbo are the way to go.

I have tried 16x7 Fuchs from a 911, the gap from the inner wheel well to the tire is too much.

I have the 944 15x7 Phone dials for the track with 225x50x15 Komo Victor Racers. The rear fenders had to be rolled and the baseeball bat trick were used.

I know the 16x8 Fuchs or 16x8 Phone dials may work, but spacers are required. However, I have not tired a 225 tire on the 8" rims with the correct spacing. Hmmm sounds like a future project.
