dropped spindles
Somewhere I think I saw reference to dropped
/raised spindles for the 9l4. Are they available? Car rides not exactly stock at this point but sure looks good. |

The 914 actually has adjustable front torsion bars. If you look at the end of the torsion bar closest to the back of the car you will see a bolt head sticking out the bottom of the mount where the A-arm attaches.
this screw raises and lowers the front of the car(one on each side). If you intend to adjust this I recommend soaking it with liquid wrench or some kind of penetrating oil repeatedly for several days proir. If you break this bolt I wouldn't want to be you. As the front of the car is raised and lowered with this method it affects the camber and I believe the caster too so extreme adjustments are not recommended. It can affect the wear of your tires significantly. You will also have to put spacers under your steering rack to eliminate "bump steer". This realigns the tie rods to the correct angle I believe. But the car does look good with the front lowered a bit. But I have never seen any reference to lowered spindles.
