Question Location of manifold pressure sensor

Does the Manifold Pressure Sensor have to be located off of the engine on the wheel well? I'm working on moving my battery to front trunk, and I thought moving the sensor onto the top of the engine would help clean up the space, and take away one more thing to grab wires and hoses when pulling the engine.

Keep it away from as much vibration as possible. The core in the middle will shake back and forth if you wobble the MPS around much and that will change your mixture in odd ways.

Note that there are vibration mounts on it stock, and that's when mounting it to the car's chassis! I would not mount it to the motor. Elsewhere on the chassis should be OK, but I would avoid the motor.
