fun with a cutting torch

i got a 74 914 last weekend in horrible condition, the floor was rusted out and the front and rear trunk was so rusted i atualy punched a hole through eah one with my fist. it was sitting 10 feet from THE OCEAN for about 9 years. all 4 wheels were locked up. it took a 4wd landrover to pull the thing off the rocks.
we brought it home and stripped it down taking off every single thing we could possibly ever use, sell or give away. get this, there was COMPLETE weather stripping kit in the front trunk. and i mean COMPLETE, i got a new targa top seal for my car and a whole bunch of other things/ 150mph speedo and front/rear bumper.

when we tried to put the car on cement blocks, the thing broke in half it was so rusted. so later everyhitng of value was taken off we cut the thing up into little pieces with a swazall and a cutting torch.
i leanred alot about 914 unibody that weekend. man that whole car is built like coriguated cardboard. 2 outside layers of metal and a layer of corguated metal inbetween. i really believe if one was to flip a 914, it would hold up. after seeing how strong it was made. its to bad i had to cut the thing up. i mean it was wayyy beyond repair. there was morerust in the grass than sheet metal parts on the trailer when we finished cutting it.
oh yeah, i got a front swaybar too:)
