Scott, I added a stock mirror to the passenger side a few years ago and needed two of the special chrome philips screws. New ones seem to be no longer available. I was able to get a pair from PAP in Atlanta (they have since moved), a Porsche salvage yard. You may have to check a similar place in your area. Good luck.

????? why not go to local hardware store and get a phillips head 6mm screw?? a 6mm x 12mm should be long enough
yes, the porsche screw is actually oval head but at $.25 per screw the "home depot" screw works for what you want |

Make sure that the hole has not enlarged by switching the screws between the holes. I installed a new screw into mine, only to find that the hole was stripped. I ended up using a stainless steel sheet metal screw.

Just for further info...The screw to attach the mirror is a unique part as it has a slight divot in the threaded area that has a small nylon insert plugging it. The divot is about 2mm and about half way on the threaded shaft. I assume this is to keep the screw from vibrating out. Pretty slick.

You can substitute the screws that hold the door catch for the mirror screws. They are the same size, are chromed, and look right. I don't know if they have the nylon locking bit in them, though.
