Jamie,
How about some other categories like: The oldest and the newest 914? The most modified 914. The most mileage.... The biggest motor.... and so on. Geoff (ps. mine doesn't have a chance to win anything but I'll still be there)

Hey Geoff we could probably add another categorie or two. Shoot me your ideas via email & we'll figure it out. Anyone else with an idea for a categorie? We can change just about anything if someone has something better. I just wanted to have this kinda set. So everyone would count on it happenning. I'm definately open to making it better. See you all there
Pacific NW 914 meet It won't dare to rain on us. Sunny day for sure

Come on Geoff!! "Mine doesn't have a chance to win anything"!!!
Your 914 is like 12 from the end of the '76s. So if they added a "Newest" category you'd win that one hands down.

That's why I slipped in that category because mine isn't going to win Best Exterior or Best Interior or even Best Rust! :P
But it would be nice to award the oldest one there.....maybe the newest too.......maybe a small little ribbon or a extra piece of pizza.... I know the guy who has the 3rd to the last car isn't going to drive out here from NY! Geoff

Longest distance driven to get to the event. (Driven in a 914, dammit!!)
Tentative plans at the moment are for me and Randy from Roadglue to head up for the event. In my Honda. (Oops!) Maybe if my 914 is officially fine & dandy by then... We'd have a shot at longest-distance in a 914 in that case. --DD

I'll judge but I am bringing the car and my girlfriend!( she would judge too).
Now that we visited Brad Anders when we were in Phoenix last week she is on me to add flairs and get the car painted as nice as Brads. She was really impressed with Brad's beautiful car and thought the flairs really made it look sexy. Great! more money down the useless drain.....and I thought I had DWD disease! How are the most grumpy ole fart? JP has a head start on everyone......:P Good to hear DD is coming even if it's in a ricer! Geoff

Grumpy.......ayup.
I wuz grumpy when I was your age. Over the years, I feel that I have refined it to an art form........now, if you'll excuse me, the @#/\%$?& sun has come out and I gotta go mow the *^)%!! lawn. Dunno If I'm gonna make this deal or not. Best I'll prolly be able to do is trailer the LGRB down there. At this point, I don't wanna spend the cash for street tires. The Vracers will prolly be OK for "touring" once there, I suppose, but it's still weather dependent.

Hey JP i have an extra set of wheels with tire we could throw on for the drive if needed. Nothing flashy but they will work. Obviously I'll allready be here & don't have to transport them for you so it would'nt be a problem

I think JP you are only 5 years older than me, so I can't wait to get to be "your" age and get away with it! :P
I don't have a extra set of 5 bolt wheels laying around either as my best set will be on the car. Maybe DD will bring you some...... Geoff

I will be there, and I can't wait. I bought a '73 2.0 a couple of months ago just to fix up and sell. After $1000 in parts and hours of wrenching, I heard it run for the first time tonight. The clutch isn't working at all (pressure plate stuck to flywheel?), so I still have work to do, but it should be done in time for the meet. I can't bear the thought of selling this car, so it will be my new daily driver. I will be entering the "Most Rust" contest, and if there was a "Most Oxidized Paint" catagory, I would win hands down. I'm looking forward to meeting everybody.

Welcome to the group! Hopefully you won't come down with DWD and fix all that rust and everything else. Only spend a $1000! Just wait it gets worse!
See you on the 25th Geoff
