914 Emergency Tweet? Is It Possible?
I don't know anything about tweet. In times when the sites are down, and people need immediate mechanical help or buying and selling parts, can someone set uup a 914 Tweet - with instructions - to help us out?
Anyone Know? |
You have to go to twitter.com and set up an account. You then would add your 914 friends. Then you send a tweet asking for help.
My twitter handle is kg6dxn |
I believe there was a thread awhile back where I was called a "old geezer" even though I'm only 37, because I don't use facebook....... I don't use twitter either lol :-)

I don't personally use Facebook (I do have one for NaroEscape Motorsports) , and don't use twitter. I'm pretty technically savvy, but I just don't care what people are having for lunch or what their kids did today.

Wasn't there a list people could download. I know I have helped a few people in the past who have called from a list I volunteered to be on.

Social Media is used for much more than that. (I use it for self promotion, mainly...) Twitter can be annoying, but it can also be informative. If you don't want to read what people ate, unfollow the ones that post what they eat.
I follow many motorsport and automotive related entities, and it keeps me in the loop on whats happening, especially when the events transpiring are untelevised (testing, qualifying, product launches, etc.) |

You could just post your problems here. I'm sure there are many people on here that would be glad to help. Might not be "as fast" getting your answers but it would let other people with the same problem see the answers. |
Ok. I'm the other old fart. What about someone setting up a 914 Facebook where we could post stuff in emergency times like this?
|
Certainly makes sense to keep using Pelican, 914c, others to post issues with our cars. Is it helpful to use Twitter #914world to provide updates on the DDOS attack and how we can help?
|
I just want the world to go back to normal so we can just talk about our cars.
