Installing bushing kit

I have recently purchased a 1972 1.7, which I quickly found out is not the easiest vehicle I have found to shift gears in. My major problem has been shifting from 3rd to 4th, but sometimes I find it when I'm not even looking for it. In reading some other posts, it would appear that step one should be to purchase the shift bushing super kit and install it. I realize this is a very basic question, but are there step by step instructions (pictures, videos, etc.) that would walk me through this. Also, are there any other suggestions you could offer that I should address as I'm starting out?

Thanks for your assistance.
