Ground Control Coil Over Conversion Kit

Has anybody tried this kit on their 914 rear shocks?

Any problems anyone could think of with this kit?

I have not tried it on a 914, but GC is known to make good quality products. Make sure you find out what kind of shocks those can fit over; some kits will only fit on Koni or Bilstien shocks. You may also need to use springs of a specific non-stock diameter with those; I am not sure about this particular kit but the WM one I bought years ago needed its own springs.

I put those on my 914 and like them. They do fit only certain Koni Shocks

But if you have your shock #s in hand when you call they will inform you

if they fit when you order. Ground Control uses Eibach Springs.

Be sure and attach the spring to the top hat so it stays in the groove. Use

nylon strong tie for this or every time you jack up the car you'll need to

lower it slow while you guide the spring back into place.

Great way to set up balance of car.

I have a set of these on my car and they have been very nice. Great quality and you get to pick your spring weight. I have 175lb springs.

I just put these on my 914 with Koni Sports. Like others have said, good quality components.
I had to modify the top hats to make it work. Initially, not enough shaft was sticking out through the top hat to allow for proper installation. I had to relieve the center hole to allow the shaft to stick out further.
