Blinking brake warning light

OK ya'll here is what I did this time. Replaced nearly all brake system. Had"M" calipers on but had to take them off because the pistons wouldn't release. Never trust what others say:rolleyes:
Anyway most of the original calipers were frozen ie. pads rusted to the caliper frame. So I cleaned and blasted and bebuilt all 914/4 parts, reinstalled with new front brake lines 19MM master cylinder and Stainless braided flex lines.

GEE stopping in incredible when all eight pads come into play.

So How do I get the brake warning light to quit blinking.
No leaks anywhere that was my first thought too.
Bled the sytem till my son cried mercy. No air now pedal is rock solid.:)

joe, after a loss in brake pressure the low brake pressure warning switch is activated. it is in the side of the master cyl or you may have to remove the switch( the sending unit on the m.c. w/ one or two wires on it) and reset it manually. p.50 of the tech tips book from aa. i know everyone hates to give them any bus. but the book is a great source of info, i carry mine in the glove box with the fuses.

Looks like Gator Tom as the same post as mine. This is a good time for my boy to work on his own car. I am plum wore out of crawling under that darn car.
BTW put KONI struts in the front car OH boy it stays planted in the front now.

I would also check the handbrake microswitch. If the light is blinking, the switch could be making intermittent contact.

If the "warning light" sender was moved due to loss of fluid pressure, the light would stay on until reset (or if blinking, the bulb or power wire could be loose)

You guys are great

Sent my son in after the brake sender switch on the master cylinder. He is actually starting to get get the hang jacking up the car etc. He pulled the pan and pushed the button. All is good, just wish I would have seen it before I buttoned up the brakes yesterday.
P.S. Ron them pistons you sold me ROCK!!! I truly believe the car is faster than with the EURO set that was in it. Actually went up a size jet for idle and main gas. Pulled 120MPH when I backed out.
