Can you fit a 15 x 7 Fuchs? Also, what is the best way to convert the rear to fit the 5 lug Fuchs.

I am running 16"x7"s with 205 55 tires and it requires about 1/2" fender roll!
If I ran 6's they would fit with 195"s and no rolling! Switching to 5 lug is shown in this forums http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/914_five_lug_conversion/914_five_lug_conversion.htm Last edited by jeffs9146; 05-07-2013 at 05:55 PM.. |

I have seen a few 914s with 205s on 7" wheels. Some have required modifications to fit, a very few have not. (That's one of the joys of having a car that was still partly hand-built.)
Any problems will be in one rear fender or the other--the fronts are generally not an issue, except when turning at full lock. Different offsets of wheel will change where the tire sits in the fender, how far in toward the middle of the car our how far out into the fender it sits. I know of one 914-6 conversion that had the super-expensive 911R 5x7 wheels and could still only fit 195-width tires on them under stock fenders. (His tire people were not happy trying to stretch a 195 over a 7" wide rim.) Oh, and the name of the company that manufactured the wheels is: Fuchs. The "s" is part of the name, not a plural. --DD
