Near as I can tell, 9Magazine is an advertiser and as such a paying supporter of this board. That's more than 'most' can say. I think that entitles them to a little slack.

red-beard 08-19-2002 10:27 AM

Uh. I purchase lots of stuff from Pelican. Can I have some slack too?

James

(The only problem is, once you have slack, what do you do with it?)

slowlane 08-19-2002 10:29 AM

You Bet. All you need.

Just so long as you don't become a 'slacker'.

red-beard 08-19-2002 11:14 AM

Well, techincally, I'm Gen-X, so it's not a far jump.....

Good job Kevin.

You would have to look way back in the Rennlist archives, but I described this procedure to the list a few years back.

60% of the Texas cars are cut for AC, and almost all of my Tx. customers wanted it removed. This leaves almost NO cars in the junkyards for that passenger side sheet metal. One day while staring at the engine shelf... hum.... "I know how suicide doors are done on street rods" I wonder if..... If you know how street rodders do their suicide doors, the shelf thought comes easy. Lots of Texas 914's in the junkyards with good/great drivers side engine shelfs.

Ask me later how Rodders do the doors.. if you care.

Your the first to publicly say anything about this in years.

I made the mistake of posting my lugs I was selling on to many sites a while back. I ended up upsetting a few people doing this. I know I didn't intend to piss off anyone in the 914 community. I promptly apologized & I think everyone reacted well. I think everyone deserves a little slack. I know I've asked plenty of dumb ?'s on this BBS. Everyone is usually real cool about it & helpful. I've been noticing more rants lately. I'm not sure what starts it. I know where I come from if you have a problem with something you take it to the source. !I don't believe it's appropriate to slam someone publically! It is pretty easy to hurt reputations & business. Lets show a little respect for each other. What I love about the 914 community is your instantly welcome. At least that is what has kept me coming back! Sorry this is so long!

NINE,

I have a story for you. I actually have 2 of them.

Both are 25-28 year old companies that have quietly sat back and made millions dealing with the Porsche consumer.

Grassroots passed it up (cause they like east coast people)

Sorta along the same subject:

What happened to the magazine STUTTGART
This was supposed to be all Porsche related as well.

b, here in western wa ac is the rare option. it's the rust factor. rain rain rain. those goofy little one way drains down in the corners get plugged up with crap, results in acid puddles. factor in headlights, wipers, radio, fan motors and poor charging system maintenance, cars that were used as daily drivers and darkness at 4:30 during the winter. lots of cars up here are nice looking until you open up the engine lid.

I've noticed the testosterone levels rising here on this BBS. I'm starting to feel like I'm visiting the British BBS's with all the flack. To quote a line from the movie "Mars Attack" Can't we all just get along?" Lets clean this up and be civil. My Mom used to say, "If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything." So You kids play nice or you'll have to be punished. Except you kids that like that kind of thing, You'll go with out dinner.

Nine, Your e-mail link on your web site is down.
