Sway bars, should I install?

Hi All,

I just picked up a rust-roller that has the handling package on it (front and rear sway bars). My question is should I install them on my daily driver, I do not plan to Auto-X the car and was wondering if it will make the car drive too stiffly. It seems abit stiff now as it is. The other good part is it has the ATE big brakes, 19mm Master and Fuchs. These are the main reason to purchase the poor thing. Let me know your thoughts or concerns please.

Well, The sway bars shoudn't too much more of a rough ride. I am running factory front and rear sway bars in my current car and had no sway bars in the last car. It really isn't the bars as much as the spring/shock combination that you have chosen.

Having said that, I really enjoy the added "fun factor" of having the sway bars on my street car. It just feels a little more sporty and keeps the smile that much bigger as I drive the 10 min. to work.

I would not bother with the rear sway bar. You have to weld the brackets in, and it doesn't make a large difference in the driving. The front sway bar is easier to install (it bolts in if your car has the three weld-nuts already installed in the chassis, or you can use the Weltmeister kit to install it otherwise) and makes a much larger difference.

If you want the rear as well, go for it!
