Acceptable rotor runout

I asked this question over on 911 BBS as a reply to something about Pagid pads. But I really need to start a thread to find out how much runout is OK on ventiated rotors. The "answer man" over there says read the spec book and see that the answer is 0.05mm. What is that? Five one hundreths of a mm? Can some American mechanic tell me in thousandths of an inch? Seems that my dial indicator reads in 1000ths and so do I. TIA

0.05mm / 25.4 = 0.00197in
