Quick question about oil

I just fully rebuilt my engine and wanted to make sure that I'm using the correct motor oil to break it in. Is strait SAE 30 WT going to be ok or do I want something thinner? Thanks

Straight 30-wt is fine. I know some people who use non-detergent straight-weight, even. But I would probably just use 20W50, same as I use in it every day. As long as you change it like an obsessive-compulsive, and do not use synthetics (until the rings seat), you should be fine.
