rear brakes

I have a 1975 porsche 914 which I have some questions ? I am going to remove the emergency brake on my car and was wondering if there is a brake caliper that would fit on the rear of my car either a porsche 911 or VW
Thanks

If you put larger brakes up front, the front caliper can be used on the rear with 1/4 inch aluminum spacers....Best, Mark

rear brakes

Thanks , What I did not say in my question was that I was replacing the front brakes with BMW 320i calipers. If I used the front calipers on the back , where does the spacer go and what do I do with the brake equiplizer.

Boydskyking, the photo shows placement of the spacer, (longer bolts needed). As Eric Shea has stated I would leave the brake equalizer in place. Brake balance is very important. Mark

I haven't had one on my car in a long time (auto-cross car). but I don't remember them being adjustable......Pressure is preset, limiting the rears under very hard braking.....Mark

I run the BMW front and 914 front on the rear with the stock bias valve unchanged for a couple of years at DE events with no issues. I started vintage racing the car and had to go back to the stock set up. Honestly, I didn't think the bigger calipers really made that much of a difference, still had the same little rotors, just more heat...just my opinion.

Hermich, I think your assumption is correct. Best, Mark
