Any of the shops that does track alignments for the PCA will do. I have been quite happy with "Custom Alignment" in Mountain View. Don't have address or phone # handy, but they're in the book.

Down in Campbell, Don Wise at CT Automotive and Ken Mack at Ken's Sportech both do good work and support PCA events. (AutoX, time trial, etc.)

In Oakland, Brandon Kraus at Roger Kraus Racing is very well thought of.

There are other shops that will have the shims and be able to do the work as well.

Custom Alignment in Mt. View.
They have done both mine and friends 914's They know how to set them up, four wheel alignment, balance on car, set up springs, etc....
I don't let anyone touch my car (I do all my own work) with few exceptions. Custom Alignment is ok by me, I have had my car aligned and balanced by them twice in the last four years or so. Each time the car drove perfect. I could not recommend them more, unless they paid me to work on my car.

I rebuilt the front suspension (ball joints, shocks, turbo tie rods) as well as replaced the rear shocks.

Having had good luck with my local Howard Tire/Wheel Works for tires and other work, I had my alignment done there. They did a good job, and they were aware of the need to align both the front and rear to do a complete job. Some of my alignment parameters were at the limit but within specs due to the age of the car, but they informed me of everything.

It cost a bit, but my car handles great (for stock), and there have been no problems.
