Vintage Racing at Willow Springs
HSR West will be at Willow Springs this weekend with Trans-Am, big bore open wheeled and of course our Porsche racing series. Practice on sat and races on sun. This is a good chance to see what vintage racing is all about.

Cool...thanks for the heads-up John. I may actually be able to make it on Saturday to spectate. I checked the web site but didn't see a detailed event schedule for the weekend -- do you know when the various sessions are taking place?

The order of the run sessions isn't announced yet but there is usually a practice session, timmed session and practice race on SAT and a practice session and trophy session on SUN. Both days start at 0800 or so and have an hour for lunch when you can make track tours for $20 (charity).

John, was that HSR west that was out at Fontana after the Speedfest. I'd say five, maybe six weeks later. I think you were there. There were 70-80 formula cars and a boat load of Porsches of all kinds. Musta been 8-10 914s.

Hi Zeke, yes that was HSR West and I remember meeting you, thanks for stopping by. That was a pretty big event and I think there was about 300 cars which is unusual. We had nearly 40 cars in the Porsche challenge race where usually we have 22 to 24. Usually there is the historic NASCAR guys there too since they help pay a big chunk of the track rental I guess and I like to watch them too.
