Adjustable steering column-anybody figure out how?
 

More and more, after getting mine back on the road after a LONG time, among the few modern things I'm wishing I could have---adjustable steering column.

Got me to wondering if anyone ever bothered. Probably space too tight, and too much of a pain, but worth an ask.

The only mods I have seen are ones to a race car steering column and that generally is a completely fabricated setup from the quick release to the steering box. If you have some machine tools, welder, etc you can easily fabricate one.

iv got long legs and a big steering wheel so they were too close to the wheel. I was able to shim it up with some washers on the far set of bolts to get it up as much as I could. I had to dremel away some of the sheetmetal reinforcement to clear the u-joint. other than that I dont have any suggestions.
