Jake,
Strangely enough your webpage would not work using only www.aircooledtechnology.com for me, only http://www.aircooledtechnology.com/home.htm Some nice work you have there, For the Djet cars would you / do you do "stock overhauls".

For Kenny Powell: you actually have that backwards with respect to the AAR. It is OPEN when cold letting in more air and a higher rpm. The 12V heats a coil that makes a bimetal strip CLOSE the air valve, returning the idle to normal. Maybe it's just stuck shut. Take it off and stick it in the freezer and then it should be open more than at room temp. With a little luck and a careful use of carb cleaner maybe you could free it up. I say careful because I think you want to avoid soaking the whole thing and ruining the electrical part of the device - maybe elctrical contact cleaner would be better and less aggressive.

Will, thank you for the tip I'll give it a try, when I looked thru the barrel it is barely open, maybe it is not closing? but then wouldn't that make it work? I just have to play around with it, I did try a known good one and it still wouldn't kick up.

Yep, BTDT - larger TB and Injectors, working well on my 2056. Lots of TLC on the heads (P & P) w/44 x 38 valves...seems to like higher rpms (4500-5500)...

Kenny; you can try introducing a larger airflow through the line going to the intake that normally is hooked to the AAR. remove the AAR, pinch off the hose, start the car, and then SLOWLY open it. The rpm should climb, and if it does then you can be sure your AAR is never open far enough to start with. Be sure not to let the hose you pinched off see a wide-open condition, as I'm not sure how high it would rev, could be pretty high at no-load.
