Photos of dead AAR
Thought a few people might be curious what a dead AAR looks like. Here are some photos. The heating element is broken in several places (can barely make it out in the second photo), and the valve is bound. The bimetallic spring seems to be in decent shape, so I might be able to repair the valve portion of it. I'm still searching for a 13ohm heating element.

Thanks for the photos. IIRC, Dave Darling once mentioned he'd replaced the heater with power resistors (wire-wound, I assume) that totaled 13 ohms.
