Late model VDO Tachometer
 

I have a 73 but have a later model VDO tach installed. The problem.... only one hole for illumination of turn signal and two light stalks. Need to pass inspection. Is there anything I can do short of buying/trading for a 73 tach?

I ran into that problem earlier this year also. What I did was to plug the "extra" light for the turn signal into one of the indicator light spots on the speedometer. The indicator light that I left out was the one that is for when the parking lights are on. Just kind of shuffled them around.

That's a great idea. I tried to plug the light into the high beam indicator slot on the Tach and the light was tinted green and barely noticeable. It appears that the wire pigtail is not long enough to reach over to the speedometer. Did you have to use a jumper or rewire?
