D-jetronic harness plugs

I am wanting to reconstruct the wiring harness for the FI but I need the metal wire connectors that are inserted throughout he plastic plugs. I have not been able to locate those items anywhere. Does anyone have a line on them? All of the plastic housings are OK...just need the metal connectors. Thanks!

Ping member "bowlsby". He knows where to get them.

I managed to pick up a reasonable facsimile at a metric supply place, but they are long gone now...

You might search for "3mm barbed female spade connectors". You'll want a very good crimper to put them on the wires, of course.

Hi from Germany,
you can order all parts you need (housings, contacts, hoods (except the connectors directly towards the ECU) in Germany now.
They are being reproduced at an affordable price...
Look at REPRO Nachfertigung von Oldtimerersatzteilen
- Bosch D-Jetronic
- Sorry, no English translation, but I believe he will answer your requests.
Shipment from Germany isn't too expensive.

If any problems occur, contact me via PN or look at www.oldtimer.tips/en .
The site has an English section, too. We are D-Jetronic hobbyists - all over the world now. We represent all the car brands the D-Jetronic was installed in: BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Renault, Citroen, Volvo, Opel, Lancia, Volkswagen-Porsche... and can help in almost any case of problems or parts requests.

Regards
Norbert

The Connectors and metal pin inserts are made by TE Connectivity (formerly Tyco/AMP). I haven't been able to find an actual TE part number, but the pin inserts are sold by Beck Arnley as part number 158-0005. I've been able to order them in lots of 25 pieces from several sources on line and on Ebay. You will still need the proper crimp tool to really attach them to the wire, but it is possible to do without. If I didn't have the crimp tooling, I'd probably crimp with pliers as best I could and then solder.

What I haven't been able to find are the rubber boots to go over the 3-pin and 4-pin housings used on the distributor points and MPS. Mark at 914rubber.com has the 2-pin injector housing boots in stock (Thanks, Mark!).

The four-pin ones were available at one point as a Volvo part. Most of the boots are probably available as Mercedes parts, but I'm not sure how you'd find the part numbers.

Jeff Bowlsby can get most of the boots, though some aren't completely identical to the original ones. Worth pinging him to see if he'll share his source.
