Mahle Wheel Composition?

I have a set of 4 bolt Mahle wheels. I have read that these were made out of Aluminum and have read they were made out of Magnesium. Can some one clarify this?

I plan to paint them and understand there are different processes in prepping the wheel.

My understanding is that the 4 lug Mahles are aluminum alloy, while 5 lug one are Magnesium.
