924? yea, the doors and the flex compasitor bolt right on. ;)

J P Stein 12-13-2002 02:21 AM

Maybe..........
If ya get a chance, take a look at the trans mounts and see if they
are similar to 914 trans mounts.

My 914/6 trans mounts (a little different than the 914/4 mount) came with an AUDI trademark on em'......been wondering if there is sumthin' we don't know....but should.

The front seatbelts and retractors are a replacement.

I always look at the air filter to see if it's a K&N or just new/clean. It's the same as 2.0 filter (square).

that and the flux capasitor... :)

See if any are turbos. The front rotors and hubs are the same as 911 and useful if you have a five lug pattern. Other than that the suspension is only good for a beetle upgrade.

I believe the AAR is comparable to the Ljet 1.8 version!

Dont forget the windshield washer pump and switch.

I have seen 924 or (944?) front bumpers on 914's. I am not sure if
they are actually from 924's, or just a look alike. They look pretty good if done right.

Dave at Pelican Parts 12-13-2002 10:18 PM

The Chalon kit does this. But they make the 944-look bumpers specifically for the 914, as the 944 ones don't actually fit. They would if you sectioned it in the middle, but...

The e brake handles are the same or at least the one on my 77 924 looks the same as the ones on the 914's

Also there are change ups in the suspension thru the production runs (76-82) with 4 bolt being the standard and 5 bolt being a option (14" on 76-79 models, 1980 on had 14", 15" & 16" wheels)

george 4man 12-14-2002 11:30 AM

i used the rearview mirror from my former 78 on my 73.

J P Stein 12-14-2002 06:53 PM

Nope, sure don't....oh well.
Thanx.
