Mega Squirt...Again!

In a previous thread on this subject Dave Darling said that the stock fuel injections components will work with the Mega Squirt. Has anyone done this before? I have a 1.8 in my car that has a single Webber (done by the po) and I am getting ready to drop the engine and transmission for a complete repaint. When the engine goes back in I would like to have FI. The single carb does not work very well (espcially when cold). Does anyone else want to do this project? How about forming a "group" project so that we can benefit form each others experience.

I did this utilizing all of the stock 2.0 components except for the factory air temp sensor (I replaced it with a GM sensor) and the factory TPS, I did mount my new TPS to the old mount.

I'd show you pictures, but my USB port died on my computer here at home.

The 1.7 injection would work as well as the 1.8 stuff....for the 1.8, you'd remove the AFM

Just purchased PCB board, Relay kit and Stimulator as part of the remaining units in the last group buy. I'm now trying to figure out what I have done.

First I have been trying to bodger up a parts list to correspond to the BOM using Digi-key and Newark Electronics parts numbers from their online catalogues. Got myself thoroughly confused and I'm hoping someone can bail me out.

Second I bought the relay board with the idea of mounting the ECU inside the center console. However as I've thought more about it, it seems to me that running a vacuum line through the center tunnel isn't a very good idea because it would be so long. I had assumed that the Megasquirt's onboard MAP sensor would replace my old MPS. What did you do Mike?

I can see I have a lot to learn before I can do this project.

Dave

I tried to get in on the latest group buy when Dave anounced it, it was over when I got there. Is there still parts left?
