Missing or Short?

I think I have a short that feels like a miss Does that make sense? The car will run good at idle and when reving & holding the high rev... no missing but as soon as I engage the clutch or put a load against it it will miss or feel like the spark quits for just an instant. Is there a corelation with the clutch and this weird missing/shorting responce? It goes away at times but comes back, all under different circumstances.

I had a strange miss like this once. I found that a spark plug wire was shorting out. It was arcing between the wire at the dist. to the sheetmetal on the engine. You can't see it during the day, it is too bright to see the arc. Run the engine at night when it is dark and check each wire. A new set of wires curred it.
Give it a try,
Paul

I had a miss like that too. In my case it was the battery quick disconnect gizmo I had. You know, the ones with a big thumb screw that you can remove to d/c the battery. I took it off - problem solved.
