NW 914 parts
Is there anywhere in the nw to get 914 parts? Or for that matter anywhere to get cheaper parts but sent to me? I just bought a fairly good 914 and would appreciate any help.
Thanks |

Hehehe. Well, there's the PNW914 club (email them at PacificNW914@yahoogroups.com ) -- everyone has boxes of "stuff" that their wives want them to get rid of (like me). Just posting on this board will help... and Pelican's prices aren't bad, either!

For new parts, you should patronize the people who bring you this BBS, of course! (And also employ me.
)For used parts, the guys in the Pac NW club mentioned above will have a lot of stuff. (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PacificNW914) Gary Emory at Parts Obsolete in McMinnville OR (http://www.partsobsolete.com) has tons of stuff as well. The problem is finding any one particular part... But if you've got the time to crawl around and look, you can probably find just about anything. There are more places here in the SF Bay Area, but that's not exactly the NW. --DD

ya I know. The guy I bought my car from was from san diego and he bought me a new top and passenger side seat from parts heaven before I came to get the car. They seem to have a ton of parts for a pretty decent price, but they're not up here.

I don't care if they're new or used as long as they work halfway decent and look ok too. I could use a couple heater blower motors and a new bumper top pad front and rear and a few other things. I'm in the process of repainting right now so it'll be awhile before I need em but I might as well start looking now.

Biggy, I have brand new front and rear bumper rubber tops. $195.00 each. Used blower motors, $25.00 each.

Ya I might have to take ya up on that stuff.......but right now I'm just gonna try and concentrate on painting it. I blew out my knee playin football and haven't been able to work for the past two months so I'm kinda low on resources right now, but your prices sound good, so we'll see.

The seals are either the dealer or the list sponsors or outside venders. You just have to bite the big one and pay.
The rear window seal is only about $25.00 I think. I just bought a seal for the front windshield that goes between the dash and the glass, $40.00 at the dealer. Craig C. Laughlin CAMP 914
