koni red ?
i have a set of reds # on housing is 82R1730. one seems to be dead, as in the rod will not move. is there some trick, are these rebuildable/fixable?

koniusa has replied to a few emails for me, but i don't know if they sell rebuild kits. kinda doubt it, but you might send it to them. (kentucky?)
sounds like a stuck valve. (konis get the crap beat out of them on lowered cars). i have some gas adjustable koni 1077's in the basement that i never installed, look non serviceable. i accidently left my sunvisors out in the rain one time and they swelled back up to new condition ( very odd ) . try that on the bottom one in your picture.

Oh yes, any Koni is rebuildable at less than a replacement. As I understand it, stock on Koni units is low right now due to some kind of labor dispute. Call these guys for starters: ProPartsUSA.net
